Security Engineer

My client is an NSI and BAFE approved company offering a range of electronic security and fire system services. They are currently looking for an experienced Security Engineer to join their team and contribute to the installation, preventative maintenance, and breakdown (call-out) duties across our regional sites.

You will be responsible for installing and maintaining various security systems, including Intruder Alarms, Access Control, CCTV, and Fire Alarms. You will be expected to troubleshoot and resolve any system faults, as well as perform remedial electrical works as needed.

Key Responsibilities:

• Install, service, and maintain Intruder Alarms, Access Control, CCTV, and Fire Alarm systems.
• Provide preventative maintenance and breakdown support (call-out duties) for security systems.
• Accurately diagnose and fault-find issues with security equipment, ensuring quick and efficient resolutions.
• Perform associated remedial electrical works as required.
• Provide excellent customer service and communicate effectively with clients regarding system issues and solutions.
• Travel to various client sites as needed, ensuring all work is completed on time and to the highest standard.
• Participate in the call-out rota for emergency support outside of regular working hours.

Key Requirements:

• Proven experience in Intruder Alarm Installation and Servicing.
• Experience with security systems such as Access Control, CCTV, and Fire Alarms is highly advantageous.
• Familiarity with Risco Intruder products would be beneficial.
• Strong fault-finding skills and a methodical approach to troubleshooting.
• Ability to perform small electrical works associated with security systems.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Self-motivated, reliable, and keen to learn.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to providing high-quality service.
