My client is looking for an experienced Warehouse Coordinator to join their team on a Permanent basis. They specialise in modular structures for the events industry.
As a warehouse coordinator you will be assisting in the efficient operation of the warehouse, handling and maintaining stock, supporting the logistics processes and travelling to support project site builds as required.
Duties:
- Prepare steel assets for delivery to a project site (pack, wrap, label and load)
- Efficiently receive and unload assets after a project is completed, transporting and organising the items back in the warehouse.
- Organise consumables and fabricated assets as they arrive at the warehouse as directed by the Warehouse Manager.
- Conduct regular stock and kit maintenance checks, repainting and repairing as necessary.
- Operate a forklift and any other warehouse machinery and maintain equipment in good working condition.
- Support the Warehouse Manager in planning and scheduling to ensure clear direction and expectations are set for the team.
- Support the training of new and freelance crew on our processes, palletising techniques, and other essential procedures.
- Oversee day to day tasks of freelance crew in the warehouse. Ensuring they are working safely to agreed processes and achieving targets as set by the warehouse manager.
- Lead test builds and prototyping for new components and structures.
- Support the Fabrication Manager on specific R&D projects as capacity allow
- Contribute to the cleanliness and organisation of the warehouse, optimising space and ensuring it is a safe and efficient working environment.
- Perform routine maintenance checks of the tools and machinery used in the Warehouse, ensuring that they meet the required health and safety standards.
Ideal Candidate:
- A willingness to learn and adapt to the demands of the job.
- Physical fitness and the ability to handle repetitive physical tasks.
- Ability to follow instructions and work collaboratively with a team.
- Basic understanding of warehouse operations and safety protocols.
- Forklift experience or certification is a plus but not required.
- Valid driver’s licence is beneficial.
